Nothing gets back to normal until the virus is under control.

The federal government will not play an active role in trying to get it under control until Jan. 20.

    It's as simple as that.

Yeah - I do understand Ragu's point that it's hard for The Government to get stupid people to do things. But you can incentivize good behavior, and not actively obstruct health officials. Christ, remember when there was an idea to just mail everyone a mask? If Trump actually had gone through with it, the motherfucker would have probably won the election.

    Fractals.

It was galactically dumb to send kids back to campuses for in-person instruction.

Great Northwest Athletic Conference, a D2 conference covering Oregon, Washington, Alaska and British Columbia, down to four schools for both basketballs: Alaska-Fairbanks, Seattle Pacific, Northwest Nazarene and St. Martins. Opting out are Alaska-Anchorage, Central Washington, Western Washington, Montana St.-Billings, Simon Frasier and Western Oregon.

They were 7-9 in their league last year. Not horrible. Wonder if the coach is a tough one to play for.

Sage Steele just announced this on ESPN SportsCenter, and said it's at the Rose Bowl, but there won't be any "patrons" attending. Sheesh!! I mean, Brookside Golf Course is right next door and it doesn't have "patrons" either.

According to the article, their coach resigned and there is an interim, so I wonder if that is part of it.

    That might do it.

UAA was already killing its hockey program as of the end of this season, so that's curtains for the Seawolves (and some of the best uniforms in college hockey).

Well, that’s what happens when the Galactically Dumb Party is running things.

At least Brookside won't be needed as a parking lot.
