    I'm surprised there isn't a fake suffix (.web?) like there is for phone numbers (555)

    I remember quite a while back, around 1997 or 98, a couple of radio hosts - not shock jocks, just run-of-the-mill clowns - in my hometown was joking around with a guest and amid the laughter, someone said "www.boobies.com" (or something to that effect). Turned out to be a real website and they had to apologize the next day.

    Of course, they weren't in syndication and this was before podcasts
