The only formerly known as Division I-A game for next weekend with a TBA kickoff is Elon at South Florida. Why? Do they think ABC is going to pick it up?

They're probably both holding out for something better to do next Saturday.

It's going to be at 7 p.m. and televised by ESPN+.

Da Bulls will have to find tougher opponents than Elon if they wish to climb in the SportsJournalists.com poll...
who do they think they are, Alabama?

Yeah, I called the USF sports information office this afternoon ... I obviously had too much time on my hands.

Knew that Webby would come strong with the info here.

I'm just stunned that Elon found its way into a thread subject line.

I'd like their chances better if they were still the Fighting Christians.

Elon came to the school I cover a couple of years ago. The press box walls aren't the thickest so you can hear almost every word that is said by the coaches, especially when they start yelling.

The Elon coaches had to be told to watch their language because after almost every play, it wasn't just the normal f-bomb dropped. The clincher came after a blown call. "God damn, motherf---ing, cocksuckers."

    Fighting Christians indeed.

That would be the Fightin' Christians.
