Anyone else get irrationally angry when you're in a nonsatellite car and look to where the satellite receiver normally is to see what the song is but ... oops no display? Shiiiiiiiiiiit.

Yeah I meant long in terms of often, not long in terms of duration. Goddammit.

Hey, i got a question for you Sirius subscribers....

I'm thinking about hopping on the bandwagon and wanted to know exactly how it works. I get that the receiver picks up the signal. Does it have it's own speakers or do you go through your own radio?

Would I need to buy any other equipment and which radios do you recommend? Also, how's the signal strength?

I'm probably going to get one next week so any help would be appreciated.

Satellite radio is a good thing if it brings us more threads last America's Top 40, 1985.

Goes through the radio in your vehicle and/or house. The in-car receivers have output plugs for you to connect a cable to your car radio's aux-in jack; most have short-range FM transmitters in case you don't have an aux-in jack. At least, it's supposed to be short range; I've picked up a strong signal from my car's Sirius receiver at 200 feet.
