I just heard a song I hadn't heard since I was a damn kid.

That hair band channel is a stroke of genius.

 

That song is outstanding.

Heard it on XM's Boneyard a buncha months back.

Said it before and I'll say it again: There's no arguing over which satellite radio provider is better as long as you have one of them. fuck terresterial radio.

 

I listened to about half an hour of FM radio today; first time in months I've done so. And I was reminded of why it's been so long -- man, it was bad. I can't believe I used to willingly listen to the radio.

 

When I got XM, we had it set up for both cars, even though we only have one radio (actually got another for dirt-cheap when Comp USA was closing, I just haven't added it to my subscription yet). We almost always use my car to run errands, and the tiebreaker is always XM. And if we're downstairs when the horror hits me--oh crap, we're taking my wife's car and it doesn't have the XM--I'll go into my car to grab the XM.

I cannot take terrestrial radio. At all.

The best marketing device for satellite radio is having to listen to terrestrial for a while. Antenna in my car broke a while back and had to listen to the local hacks for a while and that is when I realized I would never let my XM lapse, no matter what my wife says.
