Self-indulgent much? No shit you're not going to make much money.

This is making the rounds through my Facebook friends and I shared it.

I did have to laugh near the end when the writer said that people missed seeing her byline. Suuuure they do. The only people who miss my byline are people who know my mom and my bank account.

Sweetie, nobody cares. Sorry about you're bad day, but they don't.

I'm glad she cared so much.

A lot of people left don't. At least not always.

In her late 20s she's asked several times a week when she's getting married?

Maybe she should marry that giant turtle.

That's true for several of my female friends. I blame the stigma against single mothers.

I would feel bad for the turtle.

This piece is just deplorable. Loved this: I can’t imagine anyone outside of an affluent family pursuing a career with so little room for financial growth. And I wonder: Would that well-to-do reporter shake hands with the homeless person she interviews? Would she walk into a ghetto and knock on a door to speak with the mother of a shooting victim? Or would she just post some really profound tweets with fantastic hash tags?

Because, you know, affluent people lack the ability to report news.

people miss her byline because her stories sucked monkey balls ... if they were anything like her post.

"But I did not leave the business because I lost faith in newspaper or newspapering. I didn’t give up on the future of journalism or in the potential of young journalists to find a way to reinvent and revitalize the industry. I didn’t leave because I was burned out or angry about my hours or my salary."

    sure you didn't.
