A friend sent me this and I just wanted to share it. Whether you listen to classical music or not, I think you'll be moved by this song by Strauss and by the performance by Barbara Fritolli. Gorgeous stuff. And remember that she is not miked separately.

And to give this a pop culture twist, you'll recognize the intro to this if you've seen David Lynch's "Wild at Heart".

Thank you, HC. I've probably said more than once that my interest in music isn't just what I've heard on the radio. If it weren't for the fact that school systems consistently aim at the fine arts come time for the inevitable budget cuts, I'd love to consider going back to school and getting a degree in music education. Then, like a favorite music professor of mine in college, I'd expose my students to all sorts of music, not just traditional.

The music world is a magical place. Thanks again, HC.

And thanks Sam, for not making me feel like a total looser for posting classical music on a sports journalist site. :D

    Great link. Thank you.

My wife and I saw Renee Flemming a few years ago and her performance was wonderful.
