Why does the Triple Crown seem underhyped?

Finding a worst Triple Crown winner is like pointing out the ugliest woman in the old school SI Swimsuit Issue.

When was the last time a third baseman won the Triple Crown?

He is the first 3B to win.
As of this win, only shortstops and catchers are unrepresented in the annals of triple-crown-dom (well, also DH's but they didn't exist the last time anyone won it). Outfielders account for 11 triple crowns. Cabrera's former position has won it twice -- Jimmy Foxx and Lou Gerhig.

And yet, in the wonderful world of Ilitch, not so surprising.

True. Does seem like he'd do anything to make a buck.

And yet he won't hire my man 5 Dollar Karl as the first and only official Hot 'N Ready driver. He's on point. Hangin' with babes on stops, gettin' parties started. Man.
