Why does anyone believe Ashley Madison?

There's a show buried on weekends on XM's NPR outlet about origin stories of companies and the Ashley Madison CEO was the subject a while back.

While the business model he was promoting made some sense -- you pay to learn more about the people you are communicating with -- his traffic numbers were absurd lies for sure, IMO.

Isn't Ashley Madison considering an IPO? Can't really fudge the numbers in an SEC filing.

I suspect they can just say that some of that information is proprietary.

Facebook and Twitter don't reveal the number of members on a 10K, right? They certainly don't break them down by gender.

I worked for one that most certainly wasn't.

Is Ashley Madison anything besides old men and hookers -- Craigslist for the rich?

Whatever happened to her? Was that a top 5 thread in SJ history?

It was very strong. Not Petrino or Valentine's Day, but it was up there.

One could argue the Whitney Houston thread was Top 5 worthy. Petrino and V Day are for sure in there. Boots' backdoor neighbor thread could be in there. I still laugh when I hear the name Mel Renfro..........
