I think he'd pay us to take his autograph. :D

I never understood this, either. I got a few when I was a kid, mostly because I thought that was what you were supposed to do when you met somebody famous. I don't even know where they are.

Funny thing is the biggest sports star I met when I was a kid was Franco Harris. He was just walking through one of the malls in Pittsburgh. My father and I went up to him and said hello. Even though it wasn't a scheduled public appearance, he was gracious to us and everybody else who approached him. We never even thought of getting an autograph and really, I never missed it.

I think whoever said an autograph was tangible evidence that you met a superstar hit on why they're still prized.

I guess I've met enough big names in my life that I don't see what the big deal is.

Why can't they all be this clear?

Pretty cool, but they look almost too perfect, as if MLB could see the dollar signs.

Pretty cool. I'm a big program and media guide guy. For whatever reason.

But I could see myself buying those. But the questions are:
    1) How do you get them?
    2) How do you know they're real?

I suppose the same could be said about autographs.

I've always wanted to get some unsuspecting superstar to sign his autograph on a blank check.
