Why do message board fans flip out over sports writers?

Exactly why, since I haven't covered college sports in a few years now, I pay absolutely no attention to college sports on Saturdays in the fall, and life is oh so copasetic. I just get on my bike and ride, enjoy my day off and give a big gofukyurselves salute to all those tightassed college sports fans in this great land of ours before I shove off on my route.

Noonan, here's a cold one. You just described the past and present of my Saturdays as well.

Bingo. In fact, I take great pleasure, when fellow alums of Ole Siwash State call me on Saturdays, all abuzz about the game, in telling them, "Didn't watch a second of it. Mowed the lawn instead."
