I don't have a TV. My living room could be out of the middle of the last century: large console stereo and turntable is the only entertainment technology. Unless you count the big bookshelf. I just don't like video very much as a medium. If I want to watch a game, I go to the corner bar or, if I know a friend is watching the game, at a friend's. Sports is about the only TV that interests me. I know that there are some good shows that I miss- I'm sure I'd enjoy The Wire- but overall, I like the TV-free household.

 

I like Brussel sprouts, ocra and beetroot.

 

I seriously hate almost all vegetables. I think it stems from childhood, when my parents would force me to stay at the table until I ate my beans or corn or carrots or broccoli or whatever crap was on my plate. I'd leave the table and get punished.

I hate, hate, hate vegetables.
