Who's your homeboys (or homegirls)?

    Football: Brett Favre, Eric Moulds, Shane Matthews, Terrell Buckley, Lem Barney, Jerome Barkum, Doc Blanchard (attended HS here, but from SC), Robert Khayat (NFLer in 1960s, but better known as all-sport guy at Ole Miss and now the school's chancellor).
    Basketball: Chris Jackson/Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf, Litterial Green, Wendell Ladner (Dr. J's enforcer and hustle guy in ABA).
    Baseball: Matt Lawton (not stellar, but he's all we have of recent vintage), Dizzy Dean (not from here originally, but married girl from here, settled down and died here).

    I know there are tons more, especially in football, but I'm blanking right now.

    Golf: Rocco Mediate

    NFL: Paul Edinger, Chauncey Davis

    MLB: Kenny Rogers (slightly outside of the area)

    Auto Racing: Joe Nemechek
