Here's a better question: How many papers in NFL cities aren't covering the game?

I don't think The Washington Post is staffing the Super Bowl. The Redskins aren't in it, and it's not in the paper's coverage area.

Given their ownership, the Redskins' irrelevence should continue to wax, over time.

    We can only hope.

At least the Giants are playing, so the New York Times will cover the Super Bowl this year.

Is this even a remote possibility? Maybe there are a few small New England papers that send a guy to Patriots home games more because that guy wants to go than because they need the coverage that won't go to the Super Bowl.

GateHouse's New England group didn't staff the Super Bowl four years ago when the Pats were 18-0.
