Was he ever the best player on his own team?

Did those other 2B play in an era tilted dramatically in favor of the hitters?

Did you ever go to the park to see Kent play, or ever delay a trip to the can to see him bat?

Not woodwork. But not a HOFer, either.

The best second baseman, at least arguably, a number of years.

Who the FUCK goes to see ANY second baseman.

    Chrissakes.... pull the granite out.

    Pull the granite out?

no fucking WAY he was better, at his peak, than Roberto Alomar. None.

I think he'll probably get in b/c of his numbers at second, but you're right, there's no way he was better than Alomar. It's not that close.

He's been better than Alomar for eight years solid.

Seven. And even with Alomar four years into retirement, Kent's resume still doesnt match up.

    Alomar: .300, 210 HR, 1,134 RBI, 1,508 R, 2,724 H, 474 SB, .371 OBP, .443 SLG, 12 All-Star Games, 10 Gold Gloves, 4 Silver Sluggers

    Kent: .289, 375 HR, 1,502 RBI, 1,312 R, 2,418 H, 94 SB, .355 OBP, .501 SLG, 5 All-Star Games, 0 Gold Gloves, 4 Silver Sluggers, 1 MVP

Also, Alomar played all but 30 of his 2,379 games at 2B. Kent has played 2,002 games at 2B and 276 elsewhere. And Alomar's got a K/BB ratio of 1140/1032. Kent's is 1506/796.

Alomar belongs...especially ahead of Kent. But, not ahead of Whitaker.

Dude, you're a fucking idiot. I take nothing you say seriously.

I mean, Dontrelle Willis NOT in the HOF? Idiot. He's a slam dunk. Go rob a meth lab or something.

Dude, I blew my face off last time I tried that. Also, I said that's what I think will happen. Clearly, Dontrelle belongs, but I have to take off my Tiger-shaded glasses and be objective on this.

I wasn't trying to suggest Matsui has done anything close to Ichiro in the MLB, I was just pointing out if you are going to include Japanese league numbers, then Matsui might as well go as well, since he will be approaching 500 next year.

Ichiro is really good, but I think he is a bit overrated in the outfield (that throw they always show, where he hoses the runner at third, what they don't show is it is a short fly to right. Not like it was an Ankiel throw from the track or anything). Also, he is a singles hitter. That has been proven. Singles hitters are very good people to have on your team, but he is not as dominating as some past hitters have been.

Edgar not only raked the ball, he hit a lot of doubles and a fair amount of home runs.

Since I vaguely respect your opinion, tell me how in the world Jeter is not going to the HOF in your mind.
