Whoppi says on The View that dogfighting was part of Vick's "cultural upbringing."

    Two things...

    1. Slavery was part of the American South's "cultural upbringing" from the 1620s to the 1860s. Didn't make it right. It was part of America's "cultural upbringing" 50 years ago that you could take a poke at your wife without the cops getting into it, or beating the hell out of your kids without social services getting involved. Also made neither thing right. I'm getting tired of this lame excuse for Vick.

    2. Wonder what Whoopi's liberal PETA friends think of this?

Whoopi doesn't care about Peta. She likes hotdogs thrown down hallways or something.

Don't mess with the Whoppi; this thread will be mundane without it.

Whoopi Goldberg narrates NHL DVDs as I've got the Devils' 2003 Cup championship DVD.

Nice to see Felipe Alou and G. Gordon Liddy enjoying a little baseball. Not sure why Liddy's wearing a Rangers cap though. Guess he was a Senators fan who stayed loyal to the franchise when the team moved West.

I didn't watch the show, but the transcript I read wasn't endorsing dog fighting, just an attempt to explain why it might have happened in Vick's world.

It was the same argument we have heard already, and I still don't buy it.

    He killed dogs.

That's all I need to know.

I thought her "cockfighting in Puerto Rico" comment was a little bit racist myself.
