Who would you rather be? James Bond or Batman?

James Bond and Batman are as close as I come to being a fanboy about anything, and I started wondering after watching Casino Royale again today. I couldn't decide and still can't.

The case for Batman:
-works alone, extremely independent (Bond does also but has a boss in M)
-billionaire, doesn't need to worry about money for doing/buying what he needs to
-The best gadgets he can come up with
-The Batmobile
-Cooler villains, including an arch-enemy (Bond killed his) to keep him motivated
-Slightly mad
-His belief in justice
-His ability to disappear

The case for James Bond:
-The swagger
-The women (Bruce Wayne, I'm sure, has no troubles in this department but the double lifestyle makes it difficult)
-Can do whatever he feels necessary, including shooting unarmed bombmakers
-Jets around the world on the gov't dime
-The swagger
-The best gadgets Q can come up with
-The Aston Martin
-Villiains usually stay dead
-The swagger

I suppose it comes down to how you feel about killing people and whose gadgets you think are better. Both are also haunted; Batman by his parents' deaths, Bond by those he's killed and those he couldn't saved. What do you guys think?

Depends. If I get to do whatever the heck I want once I take over, I'd rather be Batman. He's loaded and answers to no one and can get every bit as much attention from women as Bond if he chooses.

If you REALLY want to take this further, which Bond and Batman are you talking about? If it's Christian Bale Batman vs. Roger Moore Bond, I'm taking the Bat everytime. Yeah, the Aston-Martin looks cool, but the batmobile/tumbler can crush anything in its path. But if this was Daniel Craig Bond vs. Adam West or Clooney Batman, it's no contest. Bond. James Bond.

Neither. As has been noted, Batman wears tights and runs around with a teenaged boy. Bond may score plenty of hot tail, but he\'s a lackey of British imperialism. Fuck the queen, fuck the crown, fuck 10 Downing Street and fuck James Bond. Bond and Batman can go spank it in an office bathroom...or hotel elevator.
