    yeah, I don’t know enough about “southern rock,” but I had thought the Allman brothers hit it big first. I looked it up and technically Skynyrd started earlier. However, the Allman Brothers were already superstars by the time skynyrd got its first album

    "Live at the Fillmore East" came out in July of '71. "Pronounced" was two years later.
