It got opened, then shut -- unfortunately, with a predictable lead-up.

    Dammit.

Does it matter? I already see at least two political threads on the sports and news page now.

Yeah, Obama has some momentum again so it's about time to let up on the blackout.

  4. I think the mods just moved a thread there to keep it from polluting Sports and News. They never unlocked the board. They locked a thread and moved it there, printdust's tinfoil hat nonwithstanding.

Waylon, have you posted a "gay" thread lately? Not much action there in recent weeks, what with the liberals under fire on the health care debate. I haven't even seen much stuff lately on the don't ask, don't tell policy after that Page 1 belch a month or so ago.

I dunno, I thought the tinfoil hat remark started it.

    He does?

  10. Actually, there was a brilliant column in the NYT this weekend from a former general about how letting the gays into the military would dilute the "warrior culture." His ironclad support for that argument? That's the conclusion he and his cronies came to 17 years ago. Glad I didn't offend you by posting it. Oh, well. Back to my Cher CD ...

Lessons not learned from history lead to repeated failure.
