Living in NoCal, there was a lot of pressure to choose Nortenos or Surenos — North or South. Born here or Born there.

I chose Indiana U. before either got their hooks in me.

Local leaders of the N, the S and the NSP knew I wasn't going to join, so they actually respected my choice and let me and my family alone. All three major parties are still in the neighborhood of my folks, which still scares me.

Is that like the Dems and the GOP? Oh, that's right, they wouldn't take credit for it. They would blow up the house and blame it on the others. I wish we had a third major party that was reasonable.
