    Sirs, Madames,

Agree on many of the previous--Kinks (amazing staying power and re-invention), Mott (forgotten), Clash (great but not so under-rated), Love Tractor (can't believe anyone remembers). Rockpile, as said before, saw them, loved them.

Among bands of a certain vintage: The Vibrators, The Only Ones, Aztec Camera, Fabulous Poodles, X, XTC.

Of the famous bands who don't get enough credit I look at the Four Tops and the Beach Boys.

Above and beyond all, Zevon and Little Feat.

    YHS, etc

Totally agreed on Social Distortion, Hoodoo Gurus and the Charlatans.

Love AinC, but give some of the credit to a certain someone's heroin addiction for many of their songs.

  7. Has anyone mentioned Kings of Leon yet? They rock.

I agree that the band does, but I cannot stand the singers voice. And I have two of their albums.

Agreed. I've always viewed the Kinks as the best band of the British invasion behind the Beatles and Stones.

Not since the late 1990s has BNL gotten the credit it deserves ... and yes, they were overrated a tad then. But overall, they wallowed in obscurity for a long time before and since -- and still make great music.

I like to think Edward was Teddy Bear's real first name. ;)

    I get it, but I'm Canadian. ;) ;)
