    Then you should enjoy this

Looking at their videos, I'm thinking they were just trying too hard for an image and nothing stuck.

Fishbone may have been the greatest live band on earth from about 1983 - 1988. I saw them about 16 or 17 times in that era.

Then their guitarist and keyboardist bailed, and their records after that were just unspeakably fucking awful.

It looks like a few of us grew up in the Southwest from 1985-1995 or there abouts.

"Green Grass & High Tides" is one of my favorite road songs.

Queens of the Stone Age are probably the best contemporary hard rock band around. I'll put their best shit up with Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins or Alice In Chains. "Rated R" is a great freaking record. Matter of fact, I don't know if there's a better hard rock band around now.

Want to also echo the X mention -- and throw in the Stray Cats and Jason and the Scorchers. They are my personal all-time-greatest live bands, ever.

The The also made a couple of very underrated albums, but then Matt Johnson tailed off as he went bipolar.

Wasn't he inducted into the Hall of Fame recently?
