Richard Dawson was a skeezy perv. If you disagree, flip on GSN and see what I mean.

Wink Martindale once got a news editor demoted because she sent a GA reporter to a plane crash instead of to his telethon.

Title fixed so no one thinks Bob died, and a vote for Gene Rayburn.

Smasher: I agree about Bill Cullen, but you might be a little harsh on Bob Barker. I remember the syndicated version of Truth or Consequences, and it was a step down from the NBC version. But that was a case of Bob Barker suffering a career decline, and he kept on persevering until the new version of the Price Is Right took off. As far as Barker doing the last 15 years in his sleep, it's supposed to look easy like anybody could do it. That's what good game show hosts do.

That said, I liked the Bill Cullen version of the Price Is Right better.

Yeah, might have been. But it was awful, way worse than the usual home grown game shows.

Bob Barker was the best thing about staying home sick from school and later work. Of the newer hosts I like Todd Newton. And an old school shout out to Jack Barry of Joker's Wild. "Joker, Joker...
