Who is the best college football coach? Who is the best NFL coach?

Of all of the active coaches in college and the pros, if you could pick one, who do you go with?

In the NFL, I'd probably go with Jeff Fisher.

In college, I would reluctantly go with Nick Saban.

To go all Patrick Swayze on you.... ditto.

Can't say I disagree with either of those choices. I despise Saban, but there's no denying his coaching ability, and Fisher consistently draws blood from a stone in Tennessee.

I see Saban the same way I saw Spurrier in the mid-to-late 1990s. I think he's just feared by everyone who has to go against him.

Fisher is one of the nicest coaches in the NFL. His players would kill for him and his act hasn't grown stale (cough, Shanahan) despite being with his team for more than a decade.

I despise Nick Saban, but I almost don't see how you can argue that he's the best in the business.

College: Saban, followed by Urban Meyer and Jim Tressel

NFL: Fisher, Belichick and Dungy are the obvious choices, but I think John Fox is vastly underrated.

Whether it is Albert Haynesworth or the last bench player he has in uniform... if that player is injured, Fisher is right there on the field with him.

It's, in reality, not as much a credit to him as it is an indictment on the rest of the self-important asses with the headsets on who would do no such thing.

If it isn't the Dolphins, I always root for Jeff Fisher.

Now, I just need him to take a loss or tie.

Blew his chance at OT in SB XXXVIII with an awful timeout. Major fucking demerit.

My top five for college might be Saban, Meyer, Tressel, Carroll, and maybe Stoops. Les Miles might be there too.

I have the 31 years of (mostly season-ticket) stubs to prove it.
