Who is memorialized in a statue in your town or city?

    Holy Christ. It's not quite as good (bad) as the Ashe statue in Richmond that has been previously mentioned, but holy Christ.

    We also reportedly have the only county courthouse in the country with a marker for both the Confederacy and the Union. I haven't personally visited every courthouse in the country to verify this.

    My hometown must not be big on statues. Only two I can think of is of the Jesuit priest that the town is named for and an Indian that was a big part of the settling of the town. And that may just be a memorial, not a statue. I forget.

    Well, if we are talking courthouses, my hometown's is pretty famous since it was a key part of a classic movie.
