Not as much as I did before Saturday, but I think Oregon is going to kill Stanford. The Cardinal just doesn't have the speed to keep up. Among many great things they do, the one thing that defense doesn't do well is run.

I wouldn't be taking -24, but I wouldn't be taking +24 either. Final score should be right around there.

Can't see the Ducks losing their way out of the title game.

    I'd take 24.

Oregon's OL is better than before. Marriota is a damn good QB as well; and that's not even talking about Barner or (D'Anthony) Thomas. I have little doubt they run the table. Stanford is okay but their offense is so much worse now without Luck. USC is too undisciplined to win; that goes from the top down to the managers.

K-State does not have a championship game and Texas is just a so-so team this year.

Sorry ND (who I think can lose to USC) and 'Bama.

Loved the A&M/Bama game. "Johnny Football" is the best nickname going. Guy can really play; he took chances downfield and they paid off.

You think Notre Dame will be able to beat USC?

Naturally, I'm looking for a repeat of last year: everyone loses and 'Bama wins out to repeat as champion. Will it happen? Doubt it. Oregon will win it.

Bama and Notre Dame for the title. Bama wins by blowout in title game.

    I think Mac repeats, Gehrig.

There's precedent for this nonsense. According to the Alabama media guide, Alabama recognizes itself as winning national championships by the following organizations/publications/polls

    1925: Football Annaual/Helms Athletic Foundation.
    1926: Billingsley (Barbara?)/ Helms
1930: Davis Poll (which predicted a Romney upset last week)
    1934: Dunkel/Williamson (no explanation)/Football Thesaurus
1941: Houlgate Poll (when they were 8-2 and finished third in the SEC ... not making that up).

So shameless is a Tide tradition.

David Stern, in a flashback to his decision to have Patrick Ewing play for the Knicks, will invoke his commissioners' "best interests of the game" clause and decree that Alabama and Notre Dame will play for the BCS championship, and Alabama will win, 9-6.

    I like that idea.

And it would be the highest-rated game in college football history.

Ratings for an Oregon vs. KSU title game would struggle to beat Andy Griffith re-runs on TV Land.
