David Ortiz is one of few players who I will stop to watch hit.

It wasn't routine, but yes along the same lines.

It was short, yes. But it was also on a dead line right to the bag, and it didn't rise more than six feet above the ground, gunning down a pretty fast runner in Long.

Not the greatest throw in the history of baseball (that would be Willie Mays, 1954), but it was certainly memorable enough to ingrain vividly in my memory, six years later.

Like I said a good throw, I just get sick of hearing about it, but that is what happens when you live in the Northwest.

I am sick of watching the Yankees and Red Sox this weekend as well.

Voted for Sizemore, now I kinda wish I voted for Big Bad Vlad. I don't get to see him nearly as much as I'd like. He's fun to watch because he can hit ANYTHING out of the park.

Vlad in my mind is fun to watch kind of how Sheffield a couple of years ago was fun to watch. They both hit the ball so damn hard, it is amazing to watch.

Even after all these years, I can't believe the incredible co-ordination and timing it takes for Sheffield (juiced or non-juiced) to destroy the best fastballs while waggling the bat like that. His at-bats always raised the excitement level a bit, especially when he was pissed off.

I'm with LJB on Carl Crawford.

The poor guy could actually go through a career overlooked if he's not careful, though.
