For my money--and as a Mets fan, I'm clearly pretty biased in Jose Reyes' favor--there is no more exciting player in the sport than the Mets shortstop.

In a clutch situation -- Big Papi.

A-Rod, in a clutch situation, is dead last.

Right now it's A-Rod since he's been doing so damn well. Ortiz from about the 7th inning on. To me, any pitcher having a dominant outing is always, always exciting.

I have been flip-flopping on A-Rod. Part of me says he's the best player in the game right now, and certainly, his at-bats are must-see TV.. But does being the best player equal being the sport's most exciting?

I'm not saying I think he's the most exciting, but a list that long should feature Andruw Jones, a 40-plus-homer guy and one of the best ever defensive players at his position.

Ryan Freel should be up there, too. Guy plays like a damn maniac.

I'm obviously a Mets' homer, so I voted for Reyes. But I'll admit, since I got Hanley Ramirez on my fantasy baseball team this year and started watching him every chance I could get, he could easily have gotten my vote.

What can I say? I like triples and stolen bases.

On this list I voted for Reyes, but nothing beats a day when Johan's on the mound.

    A-Rod.

Because he's either going to do something great, or get positively killed by his own fans if he doesn't.
