Which of the following most accurately describes your situation?

If you like, please post how you voted and explain. If you're out of journalism due to layoff but looking for a job and want back in, please say. Or if you're out due to layoff and don't plan to return to the field, please say.

Journalism, but I've moved to the net away from newspapers.

I'm still here, but scared shitless for my future.

In, but at a non-profit news agency that focuses on a very unique beat. Oh, and it's an internship and I'm three years removed from school, but it's what I could find.

Going on 40 years in the business and fully expecting to make it another 5 or 6 years to retirement.

Never did work in journalism when I got out of college. After working at the college paper for awhile which I really enjoyed, I found out how bleak the industry was upon graduation. I applied for jobs for months and received a small handful of replies back and a smaller handful of requests for interviews.

    After that, I gave up.

I'm still in it and still loving every minute of it.

In, but full-time freelancing. And the majority of my income is online media.
