Who has made more bad films Pacino or De Niro?

He is HOF worthy as a supporting actor... Not as a lead...

    Pacino's truly bad films...

    88 Minutes
    Two for the Money
The Recruit (which I actually liked)
    Simone
    Revolution

    Then there is DeNiro...

    Hide and Seek
    Godsend
    Analyze That
    Showtime
    15 Minutes
    Rocky and Bullwinkle
    Flawless
    The Fan
    Frankenstein

    It's not even close...

I guess the best news I got from looking that up is that a sequel to Heat is being filmed for 2009... Which is interesting since De Niro's character died in the first one...

Clearly nobody cares that I liked the Bank Job :D , so I'll change the title to reflect the more interesting conversation...

  4. Rocky and Bullwinkle is pretty much the ace of trumps there.

I still give the edge to De Niro, because as was previously alluded, he's always been willing to make fun of himself. Even if those movies have been mediocre, his range is much broader than Pacino's.

I'm willing to venture that most of Pacino's bad movies have had him in a similar Pacino type role.

Considering the movies these two have made in the past, they definitely get a pass from me.

So you're saying that De Niro has never been typecast as perhaps a cop or a mobster/gangster?

They are both caricatures of what they once were... Pacino more so than De Niro, but De Niro has been in more shit films, probably because he likes to get paid and has no problem cashing $10 million checks for films like "Showtime..."

    I don't blame him for a second...

De Niro is bad in the movies that he takes just for the paycheck.

Pacino is bad in movies he seems to think are good movies/roles.

Shit like the Recruit and Two for the Money had potential as good movies. But they just ended up sucking.
No way did De Niro take Analyze That for anything more than the $10 mil he probably got.

I don't know, but I'm certainly willing to agree with 3bags...I don't think a few bad films for each dents their body of work.

I hated Analyze This and Analyze That...

Pacino got an Oscar for overacting and he hasn't stopped since...

I'm glad you didn't put Any Given Sunday on Pacino's worst list. It's a guilty pleasure.
