I want the same for my birthday, sxy. Well, not the whole gift; I do have a car.

Mine would be Orrin Hatch. Calls it like he sees it, even if it nicks the right a bit, and works with others for the common good.

Oh hell, I should've just gone for the low-hanging fruit. It might have gotten me more pics like this.

    Thanks, Sxy.

And who starts a thread for their 2,000th post? As far as some of us are concerned, you're still a newbie ... so where's my beer? :D

(The answer to the question is Barry Goldwater.)

Well, I shed a tear in my Budweiser yesterday...and I'm almost to the point of giving it up altogether. Though, I seem to recall your tastes being a little more stout. ;D

  7. I respect the hell out of McCain.
    Does Colin Powell count?
Bob Dole is a great guy.

    Thank you for reminding me.

Barry Goldwater is one, Colin Powell is the other.

Don't like either side, but I do like Max Cleland. What the GOP did to him a few years ago was unconscinable (sp)

Can't stand his politics or his Viagra.

Elizabeth Dole, on the other hand has a resume a mile long. She would have made an intriguing candidate for President had she chosen to run.
