On the heels of the Marlins dumping the Mets in season-finale series at Shea in 2007 and 2008.

Brett Favre in the last five games:

98-for-175, 1,011 yards, two touchdowns and nine interceptions. That's a 55.2 QB rating.

Nobody in the NFC was being touted as a Super Bowl contender other than the Giants until they lost a game or two, and then it was "holy shit, Carolina could be the No. 1 seed!" So it's hard to hold the Bucs' lack of Super Bowl buzz against them, because nobody outside of the Giants and early Dallas was getting any.

Perhaps Favre should have been a separate option in the poll.

The Bucs, easy. You're playing Oakland, a team that takes pride in not playing for or with pride, and you've got a 24-14 lead, and you still manage to blow it? I'm sure the Raiders were even pissed over that development.

Cherry picking numbers to prove a point. There are four more playoff teams in the NFL than in MLB. But you know that. Yet you posted that list anyway. Try to respond without going over-the-top, if you can.

    You are absolutely right.

    Teams hosting playoff games:

    1. New York
    9. Miami

    14. Minneapolis
    17. San Diego
    26. Pittsburgh
    32. Charlotte
    40. Nashville

    Fixed.

Even better. But thank you for keeping it civil.

Poor Miami, Phoenix and Minneapolis. Not a competitive baseball team in the bunch.

I agree that it is better that fans in places as tiny as Nashville and Charlotte get to watch their teams in the playoffs.

What's your wise-ass comment for Pittsburgh? Kansas City? Milwaukee, which gave up the store for a rental of Sabathia and now have seen him go... god, where did he go again?
