Wow, I'm not a parent but that YouTube vid makes me queasy thinking "what if some kid were to run out in the street?!"

    -----------

Screw Jimmie and the horse he rode in on.

Who cares? The season's over and the injury will be healed in time for JAN testing. Even if it wasn't, he'd still find a way to drive. Terry Labonte actually had his broken hand taped to the shifter in '96...A total non-story...

There's a difference. Labonte broke his wrist in a wreck. This has Jeff Kent-esque poor choice written all over it.

A total nonstory?? Are you actually in the media?

The defending NASCAR champion lied about an injury that could affect his chances at not just repeating as champion, but even participating in the biggest race of the year. You don't think it's going to be a story when he shows up for the race? "Can Jimmie Johnson perform coming off his wrist injury?"

This isn't a nonstory. This story is just BEGINNING.

And if Jimmie tapes his hand to the shifter when he defends is Daytona 500 victory, it will be a story then too.

No shit, since it will be crossed over his body.

There is absolutely no need to worry. Even if Jimmie's hand is not fully healed, Chad Knaus will have everything under control.

That is, of course, as long as he has fresh batteries.

That tape would provide a personality transplant that might overload Jimmie's bland censors.

Somebody asked earlier if JJ was drunk. I'm saying everybody involved was drunk.

Yeah, a non-story. If the story was that the incident took place in the middle of the night, he was drunk, and had a naked 15-year-old girl in the cart, then sure, that's story. A twenty-something millionaire goofing off at a charity golf tournament after he won his sport's championship and accidentally broke his wrist is no big deal. The reason it IS a big deal is because his PR girl probably told him to lie about it so no sponsors were upset and all that did was make the media pick up a non-story during a slow off-season. Tony Stewart busting himself up the week prior to Daytona testing while racing in another racing series didn't get this much attention and that actually WAS a story.

But you have fun digging deep and finding out the REAL story...hopefully, he was whacked out of his skull on Ecstacy; it might make him a little more interesting...
