Who are the GREAT sports editors?

Jeff Otterbein, at Hartford, place wins a Triple Crown almost every year.

 

a) Don't be knockin' a Shippensburg-Liberty game.

b) They BETTER be covering it.

c) Don't be knockin' a Shippensburg-Liberty game.

 

Well, if they need help, they know where to find it. ;D

 

Graham Parley, when he was at that National Post, did me great favors all the way through. A terrific writer's editor. I owe him much.

He's at the Toronto Star now, in Metro, I think.

 

Tim Franklin and Tim Kelly. Both were terrific sports editors, so good that they were kicked upstairs and now are executive editors at Baltimore and Beaumont (Texas) respectively.

 

My experience with sports editors is limited, but I know Andy Johnston really raised the bar at the Athens Banner-Herald. He also helped me out a great deal even though I was never actually employed by the ABH. He knew who to hire and how to get the best out of them.

Also, I think I was one of the best 4K, small community in Georgia weekly sports editor EVER!

 

Guy who was my boss at two different papers is a damn good one. He worked like a dog for years to get me to join him again and I left after several months for more money, more headache and more family BS.

 

Mine is too. Oh wait, it's me. Never mind.

I'll be ready when the WORST sports editors thread gets started. And, hopefully, before it gets locked.

 

Once it starts, this thread will not end well.

 

This is a serious question: What has Garry Howard done to merit such love?
