Tracy McGrady can get to the hole any time he wants to... that is not the case for Durant at all. Durant is not T.Mac.

GMs don't care about "right now", they'll nearly always choose a better long-term prospect over a better current player.

Damn straight, Simon, the same people with the over-the-top ravings about Durant in 07 were just as over-the-top when Robinson was racking up 30 ppg and looking utterly unstoppable in 94, they're also the same ones who now claim he was nothing but a worthless dog--how soon they forget. I remember the Big Dog mania from 94 well-"we've never seen a player like this before" "He's Larry Bird with quickness/athletic ability" bla bla bla. It was much the same hysterical notes you hear now about Durant.

Considering you assholes didn't know me in 1994, you have no idea what I said about the DOG then ... but it was the same thing I'm saying now and the same thing I said throughout his NBA career.

Every time I saw him play on TV or in person in college, he didn't play a lick of defense, he didn't pass the ball and he sulked if he didn't get enough shots. Glenn Robinson was a DOG.

Kevin Durant is going to be a great player. His overall game is about 10 levels above Glenn THE DOG Robinson.
