telling is the fact OSU was hammered by Florida and UNC (though UNC game was 9 point game, I believe).

Playing in the Big 10 helps as well.

  3. Oden didn't play in the UNC game.

Keep in mind that the UNC game occurred without Oden and the UF game occurred right after Oden's return from wrist surgery. OSU's only lost once since Oden came back and reached something somewhat resembling full-strength. And, btw, UNC most certainly did not "hammer" OSU without Oden, it was a close and well-played game at Chapel Hill, and one in which Oden probably would've made the difference in the outcome.

34 turnovers and piss poor defense does not make a good game. that game was ass.

He's done a poor job getting Oden touches. Period. That's great that they are 30-3. They should be 30-3. Oden averages fewer than 10 shots per game. If you subtract made and missed tips and offensive put backs, he probably takes only 6-7 shots per game as part of the offense.

but then, Oden DOES NOT do a good job of using body for positioning on the low blocks. perhaps that's because he's young and hasn't completely learned to use his body to his advantage on offense against stronger college dudes.

Much of that has to do with Oden not joining the team after wrist surgery until weeks into the season and then not really being able to use his shooting hand for weeks more after that. Because of this, OSU used him in a mostly defensive/rebounding role at first and have just recently begun going to him more assertively. If Oden had started the season w/o injury, no doubt you would've seen him get several more shots per-game. But, hey, they finished the No. 1 ranked team anyways.

There is only one thing to say is that Whitlock is an idiot if for a second he thinks that Oden is a better prospect than Durant.

So I guess every NBA GM is an idiot too.

Just saw on PTI that Oden said he wasn't "NBA ready" and that he needed to become more of a scorer. Wow, is this guy mature or what?
