    ...at the expense of ESPN.

    Got it?

    They keep paying Scoop.

    Glass houses, etc.

Add one more to the Whitlock love fest. The guy is a pro and he's got the nerve to stand by what he says.

I finally read the column... Wow...

I guess a few people in this business are still willing not to compromise their integrity.

Simers was dismissed for similar reasons, but I'm guessing his deal with ESPN wasn't nearly as extensive as Whitlock's. Again, I'm just guessing here...

I hope the AOL deal comes close to making up for the $$$ that Whitlock lost.

Lost a lot of money, gained a ton of respect...

Simers was only on Around the (Screaming) Horn. No Page 2. No Rome is Burning. No PTI. No Sports Reporters.

Jason, I'd be curious what Mike Fannin and your other bosses at the K.C. Star think of this. Will this lead to you doing more things for them there?

    Kudos Whitlock.

More Chuck D, less Flavor Flav.

    Whitlock,

You're still running second to Simers, but it's a close second...

    Jase....you're my hero.

And you've been thrown out of better places than ESPN.

Jason, congratulations for speaking your mind and then standing behind those words when the Mickey Mouse suits called you on it. I don't always agree with what you say, but standing for what you believe gets a standing O from me.

  12. Ah, the old 'lesser of two evils' thing.

And marvkid: I know. My post was tongue-in-cheek. My bad for leaving out the emoticon.
