How many times can Shitlock show himself to be nothing but a racist asshole and still be considered a "great" columnist.
This stuipid fat fuck is the biggest fraud in the business.

If you don't think the manner in which the players were trained played into how they performed, you're not paying attention.
A few years ago, Bill Rhoden was screaming about the Eurofication of the NBA and what a horrible path that was to take. But those guys are not consistently winning, and I think a case can be made that it's no accident. I don't think JW made the best case and went for the too-easy, too-inflammatory approach, but there is something to be said along these lines.

Except the guy who invented the game was a Canadian who happened to be working in the US/

So, under the normal rules of logic, it was invented by a Canadian. If Naismith had been working in Mexico (which he did later on in life) would you claim it was a "Mexican" game?

I don't care--you can have the game if you want it so badly--just get your facts straight.

Whatever the case maybe, crappy article (which it is) or not, the European player, blessed with "fundamentals" often come here lacking defensively.

But people were too engrossed with measuring the faults of American born players against the one-dimensional European players strengths.

We might be reminded how "crappy" the foreign players are this summer in China.

They were just awful in 2004.

They're "awful" for the most part when they enter the NBA. The ones who succeed in the league typically display the athleticism, behind the back dribbling and other things U.S. players are often criticized for.

    Jesus, what an embarrassing article.

If you had taken Whitlock's name off the column, substituted "hockey" for "basketball", this would be vintage Don Cherry.

You sound like the ultimate apologist. Foreign teams beat us in international competition, it's because crazy rules and foreign refs. Foreign players come here and form 4/5 of an NBA championship team it's because one of them went to Wake Forest.

    Head. Out. Of. Sand.

And the ONE who went to Wake Forest couldn't handle those rule, getting into constant foul trouble when playing under the rules of the international game.

    T
Translation: Tony Parker's not Eurotrash because he's black. Ginobli is Eurotrash despite not being European because he's white.
