For a while Washington State was known as Quarterback U, in pretty quick succession went from Rypien to Rosie to Bledsoe to Leaf. I will admit a slight bias in this post, however. ;D
And laugh all you want, but Leaf was one helluva college QB. He badly needed another year in college for the maturity, but there was no team coming back after the '98 Rose Bowl (something like 16 starters were seniors) so I can't blame him for leaving early and cashing in.

Wisconsin is the backup QB factory.

Wherever Norm Chow hangs his shingle is Quarterback U.

Only because Rick Leach chose baseball.

I did this off the top of my head, so if I'm wrong on one or two I apologize...

These are the colleges of the 32 projected starters...

Based on that, Southern Cal (Palmer, Cassell, Sanchez) would be No. 1
Marshall has two (Pennington and Leftwich) and Purdue has two (Orton, Brees)

    Cal
    Vandy
    Southern Miss
    Georgia
    LSU
    Purdue
    NC State
    Southern Cal
    Maryland
    Northern Iowa
    Boston College
    West Virginia
    Ole Miss
    Syracuse
    Auburn
    Northern Illinois
    East Carolina
    Tennessee
    Penn State
    Southern Cal
    Miami, Ohio
    Virginia
    Southern Cal
    Notre Dame
    Marshall
    Louisiana-Lafayette
    Delaware
    Boston College
    Purdue
    Marshall
    Michigan
    Stanford

Miami (Ohio) has an alum starting at QB in the NFL. Miami (Fla.) does not.

Also interesting that Florida has had eight NFL starting quarterbacks and every one of them has sucked ass...

Super Bowl starting QB Rex Grossman is deeply offended at that comment.

He's also a shitty quarterback so he can't really disagree with you.

Grossman is probably the best of the eight, which is saying something.

Cassell's an odd case for this thread topic. Does it count if you never started a single college game and nobody can remember you playing there? I guess so but, still, kinda odd.
