Which papers are at the World Cup?

    Longman has done a nice job for NYT.

    What are you talking about?

    The Times owns the Globe.

    The Herald was the Murdoch property in Boston, but I don't believe they own it anymore.

    Teddy Kennedy forced him to sell to comply with cross media ownership rules. (Because it purchased a television station.)

    Of course it never stopped the Times from owning WQXR in New York.

    Is there anyone from Tribune Co. there? I would assume the LA Times would have someone there.

    My bad. For some reason, I thought Murdoch was connected to the NY Times as the owner. I forgot that he actually was trying to put that newspaper out of business. I'l take the error on that one.

    Sorry. I read a story by Powers, I believe yesterday, and didn't check the dateline. I just assumed he was there.

    Les Carpenter's story on Yahoo about the town that still has apartheid was fantastic.

    ESPN has a ton of people over there, but they are the TV rights holder so it's a different situation.
