    I don't remember who won that year, but Norton could have won for his performance in American History X.

    That was the year Benigni won and climbed all over the chairs. Terrible choice. Hanks should have won for Saving Private Ryan.

    I just had this conversation the other day. There's a lot of backlash, particularly male backlash, against guys like DiCaprio and Pitt because they're "pretty boys," but if you step back and look at the performances, both those guys act their ass off in just about every movie they've ever made.
