Where to stay in Miami?

    I'm going to the Miami-FSU game in a few weeks with some friends and I'm trying to find a place for us to stay. Does anyone have any suggestions of what hotels to stay at or avoid in the Miami area? I don't think we are going to stay near the Orange Bowl since that is not the best part of town. I was thinking of staying in the South Beach area, but that might be too pricey. So any suggestions would be helpful.

    The entire city has some of the priciest lodging I've ever seen. Like Ft. Lauderdale, you probably won't save much staying in one area over another.
