    It definitely ranks behind Eugene Robinson. That was a guy who was actually supposed to play in the game and he's gets caught the night before.

    EDIT: After checking I realize now he did actually play in the game, but still, its trumps Sapp.

    I think a couple years ago, he could have done this without being fired, but in this day and age, that shit is just not going to be tolerated, especially at a channel owned by the NFL.

    NFL Network has fired Sapp and Sharper in the last year or so.

    The guy always was a dick, but I thought he was pretty good on TV.

    Doesn't help Sapp that he increasingly had run-ins with the law. It's not like retired players with big mouths aren't a dime a dozen. They can be replaced just as easily as we all seem to be. Keeping having the police called so your employer gets their name mentioned in an arrest story and eventually they disassociate themselves from you.
