Lady Antebellum (whom I had never heard of until seeing them on Yahoo) is accused of ripping off Eye in the Sky by the Alan Parsons Project.

I listened to the song in question, Need You Now. The chorus definitely resembles Eye in the Sky. The rest seems reasonably different. It's not a bad little song, actually.

Pretty much everything rips off something else. Even the Beatles used to pinch stuff.

I thought it was hilarious when Joe Satriani tried to sue Coldplay over "Viva La Vida," claiming it ripped off his song, but it turned out he himself had taken it from a different song.

Then again, John Fogerty was accused of stealing from himself.

Still the best song ever about a booty call.

    Which one: Antebellum's or Coldplay's?

It's been a long time since a country song has been accussed of ripping of another country song.

With seven notes in an octave (white keys on a piano) and five sharps/flats (black keys), there are only so many combinations you can come up with in a measure.

More importantly, I saw Lady Antebellum in person this weekend and I can confirm the female lead singer is just as hot in real life as she is on TV.

    As was Bob Seger.

Accused of ripping off "Eye In The Sky"?

Considering the fact that I'm familiar with both songs, I don't see it.

  12. I love Alan Parsons. Eye in the Sky is a timeless album.

    And now, your Chicago Bulls!.......
