That'll be me in time, I'm almost certain. However, both my parents and my oldest sister don't really have limits, either, so maybe not. I just hate letting people down, you know? In high school, I was only turned down coming into work an extra shift once, and I felt awful about it. Even now, no matter how much I work, I'll never tell a friend I can't edit a paper -- regardless of length. I'll drive anywhere for a lunch, so someone won't have to eat alone. It's a sickness, but it's one I don't mind having.

I'll have to learn to set limits eventually, but for right now, I'm OK with being the company tramp.

If you worked at a European paper you could say "see porn, page 3" for rest of the story, back page.

I absolutely have my cell listed on my business cards, but I work in a market where the idea of fans calling my house ... well, this would not be good. There are a lot of them, and they don't seem to be housebroken. My e-mail is on every story I write. They are more than welcome to e-mail me, and many do, quite frequently. This is plenty responsive, in my view.
