When's the NFL schedule getting released?

Steelers with two MNF games, Sept. 29 against the Ravens and Nov. 3 at Washington. They also have one Sunday night game Sept. 14 at the Browns and one Thursday night game Oct. 19 at Bengals.

What really caught me, though, was the Steelers' last five games -- at Patriots, vs. Cowboys, at Ravens, at Titans, vs. Browns. Those could all be meaningful games during the playoff run.

Holy mother of f*&k, I never want to hear bitching from Milwaukee season-ticket holders of the Packers again after what they got this year:

Sunday night vs. Cowboys, and the Bears game.

And last year they had the Vikings game too.

At first glance, Pittsburgh's schedule looks pretty hard.

    Non-conference tough games
    @ Jacksonville
    Giants
    @ Washington
    Indy
    Chargers
    @ NE
    Dallas

    Non-conference softer games
    Houston
    @ Philly (not that easy)
    @ Tenn (not that easy)

Can the NFL use the RPI next year?

Thank God the Ravens and the Bengals are in the same conference. I'm thinking the Browns are going to be a lot better.

Based on last year's records, it is the most difficult of all the schedules in 2008.

No, that would be the days of the draft.

I heard that this morning. Makes me think the Browns are going to win that division. Then, of course, choke in the playoffs. They are still the Browns, after all.

By contrast, NBC has to be thrilled with the Sunday night slate. Patriots-Colts, Pats-Chargers, Cowboys-Packers, Colts-Chargers, Giants-Cowboys, and only two games, I think, not involving a 2007 playoff team.

The last two years, when the schedule came out, I could point to one or two late-season NBC games and say that they for sure were going to get flexed. I can't say that at all this year.

Is the Sunday Night package much better than the Monday night package?

Perhaps three letters - NBC - would explain why the Monday night games are bad.

If I can wrangle the cash, that's the one.
