I know this is a bit off topic, but one of the funniest things I have read on SportsJournalists.com was written by Secretariat. It was a parody of Lupica on the Sport Reporters TV show. My sides hurt after I read it the first time. Hope this link works.

That was me. It was written by Drew Magary at KSK. Didn't credit him since it had been posted here a couple times by then.

Sorry, Uncle. I did a search and found it under a Secretariat posting. I did not notice his sentence that "this is never not funny," indicating it was a re-post. Anyway, it is funny.

No, it's cool. Was just clarifying.

Wait so if Uncle.Ruckus is secretariat, and secretariat is Drew Magary, then who is Double Down?

    Oh, Les Carpenter. That's right.

I have never though of Lupica as being great. The little fella has talent, I will not debate that, but he's not someone who I ever felt that I had to read to understand sports. When he was with The National, it was a pleasure watching him work harder at trying to establish himself and the new product. He actually was very approachable.

Did you find him to be a good guy and even a better person?

Did Loopy and DeFord buy drinks for your table one night?
