I'll revert to who writes checks? I write one for my rent and one to my roommate for bills.

    Get a debit card.

With credit card numbers getting stolen left and right and online banking still not entirely secure -- at least, not secure enough for me -- I'll stick to checks, thanks.

    Amen, sister.

We write a cheque for our rent and that is pretty much it.

We pay all our bills electronically and any non-credit card purchases are either cash or debit card.

I don't know about down there but most stores don't even take cheques any longer up here.

I have never been concerned about that, mostly because I've never been burned. But it's easier for me, and that's what matters to me...

It has not happened to me either. Not to rip you, but get back to me when your credit rating goes down the tubes thanks to some numnuts leaving credit card numbers on a laptop and leaving laptop in plain view in his car.

    Ooooooooooo damn. Sorry, wicked.

Good news for me: my credit rating can't go down.

rockbottom notwithstanding, yes, JR. Because my credit is that bad.

Why else couldn't it go down?

    Because it's AAA.

I don't even know what that means.
