They were also drunk and stoned. Yes the zoo is (partially?) liable, but the attack never happens if it wasn't for the kids' actions.

 

Never a good idea to taunt the critters.... Of course, the monkeys can be unnecessarily provocative themselves sometimes.

 

Yeah, if you're gonna get drunk, smoke bud and taunt animals, I'd go to the petting zoo area and taunt the bunnies. Leave the fuckin tigers alone, dumbass.

 

The zoo should sue the shit out of these idiots for causing the death of tiger. If they don't fuck with it it doesn't get out.

 

I can imagine the tiger's thoughts:

Life sucks. I'm trapped in this hellhole. These granola-eaters are feeding me tofu now. It's not worth it anymore.

But I'm gonna take of those taunting assholes with me.
