This fight is from a JV baseball game in some place called Yuma City. Notice how ridiculous everybody is acting, from the coaches to the players, from the umpires to the parents.

I thought the use of the midget in the background was a bit exploitative.

It's Yuba City vs. Del Campo (I'm pretty sure the Sacramento area).

Hard to tell from the video what preceded it. Wouldn't be surprised if there were some nasty things said.

I've always wondered why baseball doesn't have a "second man in" rule on fights. Probably one of the best things basketball did was penalize players from leaving the bench.

Just saw this on the Facebook page of a friend who works for the Sac-Joaquin Section and was going to repost. Yuba City (the Honkers, since it's located along a duck flyway) is north of Sacramento, Del Campo is somewhere in the metro Sacramento area.

All this fuss over a JV game? Guess Deadspin only covers them when they fight.

I covered a high school girls' soccer game last year that turned into a brawl. Parents on the field cursing out officials, some girl got kicked in the face with a spiked shoe. Mob mentality is everywhere and it is some nasty stuff.

Two teams in Alabama just had their head coaches and one assistant from each team has been suspended for the season. Both teams are ranked in the top 5 in 1A. Girls began fighting on the field and one of the girl's fathers (an assistant coach who had been previously ejected from the game) runs on the field and begins fighting with the other team's assistant.

Now both teams are under interim HC and will still likely make the state tournament.

When Yuba City and Del Campo get together, anything can happen.
